Hi folks,
Today we spent a good bit of time at the beginning of class going over yesterday's quiz. Quite a few folks had some issues with the problems so I wanted to make sure I reviewed those before moving on.
We also did some hands-on with Newton's second law today. We used catapults to see the effects of mass and force on acceleration.
Homework:
Review Questions pg. 56 & 57 do the EVEN #'s between 1-20
Also,
Do Review Questions on page 71 and 72 do the EVEN #'s between 1 - 18
Plug and chug 1-5 on page 57
One last thing, I've found a site that provides answers for the book problems. Unfortunately, the organization of the site is quite strange and so it's a bit hard to use. I've found that if I type in the page # I can find the appropriate problem sets and go from there.
Extra Credit Possibility!!!!!
Use your physics formulas to describe and solve problems based on the Olympics. The problem we did yesterday with the diver is an example of what I'm looking for. I'll give 2 points of extra credit per problem with a maximum of 10 extra credit points over all (so five problems). Just like the diver problem, your problem can have multiple parts. Each part will be worth 2 points.
