Fwd: 8/1 physics update and homework due 8/2

Hi folks,

Well, we are off to a good start!

Each day I'll be sending an email that gives a quick overview of what we covered in class as well as the homework for the day.

Today we covered what science is and a bit about how it works. We also began our study on linear motion. We explored the concepts of speed, velocity and acceleration. We will be spending quite a bit of time on acceleration in the coming weeks as it is key to much of Newton's Laws.

Homework due tomorrow is:

Read 10 - 16 and 21-23 in your Conceptual Physics text
Do Review Questions on pg 25 #'s 1- 14
For Extra Credit do any one of the 3 activities on pg. 26 (This can be done anytime.  It's not due tomorrow.)
