8/29 Physics Class

Hi folks,

Today we took a much deeper look at refraction and learned how to predict the behavior of a lens using the 3 laws of refraction.

Homework is to create five different ray diagrams for a converging (convex) lens.  For each diagram, move the location of the object.  Do at least two diagrams with the object between the focal point and the lens and at least 2 with the object beyond the focal point.  Please use a ruler to create your rays.

If you need, this website   does a very nice job explaining how to do ray diagrams.

Also, be sure to take a good look at your old quizzes and homework.  Tomorrow is the day to ask questions on any concepts you feel shaky on.

Have fun! :)
